Before You Apply

  • Confirm your eligibility for an Indian e-Visa. Check the list of eligible nationalities and permitted entry points at indianvisaonline.gov.in.
  • Ensure your passport has at least six months validity from your date of arrival in India.
  • Confirm you have a return ticket or onward journey ticket.
  • Ensure you have sufficient funds to cover your stay in India.optional

Application Process

  • Apply for your Indian e-Visa at least 4 days before your date of travel at indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html.
  • Upload a recent passport-sized photograph that meets the specifications outlined on indianvisaonline.gov.in.
  • Upload a scanned copy of your passport bio page (the page with your photo and details) as specified on indianvisaonline.gov.in.
  • Provide all required information accurately and truthfully in the online application form at indianvisaonline.gov.in.

Fees & Payment

  • Pay the e-Visa fee online using a credit card or debit card at indianvisaonline.gov.in.
  • Print the payment confirmation receipt for your records.optional

After Approval

  • Check your email regularly for updates on your e-Visa application status from indianvisaonline.gov.in.
  • Print a copy of your approved e-Visa (ETA - Electronic Travel Authorization) from indianvisaonline.gov.in.

Documents Needed

  • Valid German passport with at least six months validity.
  • Printed copy of the approved e-Visa (ETA).
  • Copy of your return or onward journey ticket.

At the Border

  • Present your passport and printed e-Visa (ETA) to the immigration officer upon arrival in India.
  • Be prepared to answer questions about your purpose of visit and intended duration of stay.
  • The e-Visa for tourism allows a maximum stay of 60 days in India.
