Entry Checklist — Chile

Before You Fly

  • Confirm your airline's baggage allowance and any COVID-19 related travel advisories.
  • Purchase travel insurance that covers medical emergencies and repatriation.optional
  • Inform your bank of your travel dates to avoid card issues.optional

Documents Needed

  • Valid Brazilian passport with at least six months of validity remaining from your date of entry into Chile.
  • Round-trip or onward travel ticket.
  • Proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay in Chile.
  • Hotel booking confirmation or proof of accommodation.

At the Border

  • Present your passport, return ticket, and proof of accommodation to the immigration officer.
  • Answer any questions the immigration officer may have regarding your purpose of visit and intended length of stay.
  • Receive a Tourist Card (Tarjeta de Turismo) upon entry. Keep this card safe as it is required upon departure.

Fees & Payment

  • No visa fee is required for Brazilian citizens entering Chile for tourism.
  • Be prepared to pay the airport departure tax (if applicable) upon leaving Chile.optional
