Before You Fly

  • Confirm your round-trip or onward ticket. You must have proof of departure from Taiwan.
  • Ensure you have confirmed accommodation details for at least the first night of your stay.optional

At the Border

  • Present your valid U.S. passport to the immigration officer.
  • Present your round-trip or onward travel ticket.
  • Answer questions from the immigration officer regarding your purpose of visit and intended length of stay.
  • Ensure the immigration officer stamps your passport with the correct entry date.

Visa-Free Entry Conditions

  • U.S. citizens can enter Taiwan visa-free for tourism or leisure travel for a maximum stay of 90 days.
  • Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay.
  • You must have a confirmed onward or return ticket.
  • You cannot engage in activities inconsistent with tourism, such as employment.
