Before You Fly

  • Check Thailand's current entry restrictions and travel advisories related to COVID-19 at the Ministry of Public Health website.

Documents Needed

  • Passport: Valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay in Thailand.
  • Proof of onward travel: A confirmed return or onward flight ticket departing Thailand within your permitted stay (typically 30 days for South Koreans entering visa-free).
  • Sufficient funds: Evidence of adequate finances to cover your expenses during your stay (e.g., bank statements, cash). While there's no fixed amount, immigration officers may request proof.optional
  • Travel insurance: Recommended to cover medical expenses and emergencies during your stay.optional

At the Border

  • Complete the arrival card (TM.6) provided by the airline or at the immigration checkpoint.
  • Present your passport, arrival card, and proof of onward travel to the immigration officer.
  • Answer any questions from the immigration officer regarding your purpose of visit and intended length of stay.
  • Ensure your passport is stamped with the correct entry date and permitted stay duration (typically 30 days for visa-exempt entries).

Fees & Payment

  • Visa-free entry for tourism is generally free of charge for South Korean citizens for stays up to 30 days.
  • Overstaying your permitted stay will result in a fine of 500 THB per day, up to a maximum of 20,000 THB. Payment is due upon departure.optional
