Before You Fly

  • Confirm your airline's baggage allowance and any COVID-19 related travel advisories.
  • Book round-trip or onward travel tickets to demonstrate your intention to leave Thailand within the permitted visa-free stay.
  • Book accommodation for your stay in Thailand.optional
  • Inform your bank of your travel dates to avoid any issues with your credit or debit cards.optional

Documents Needed

  • Passport: Valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay in Thailand.
  • Sufficient Funds: Evidence of adequate finances to cover your expenses during your stay (e.g., bank statements).optional
  • Confirmed Round-Trip or Onward Travel Ticket: Proof of departure from Thailand within 30 days.
  • Travel Insurance: Recommended to cover medical emergencies and other unforeseen events.optional

At the Border

  • Complete the Arrival Card (TM.6) upon arrival in Thailand.
  • Present your passport, completed Arrival Card, and onward travel ticket to the immigration officer.
  • Answer any questions the immigration officer may have regarding your visit.
  • Ensure your passport is stamped with the date of entry and permitted stay (30 days).

Fees & Payment

  • Visa-free entry for tourism is free of charge for Italian citizens for stays up to 30 days.
  • Overstaying your permitted stay will result in a fine of 500 THB per day, up to a maximum of 20,000 THB.
